The purpose of this study is to measure antibacterial activity of contact lens care solutions by purchasing eight contact lens care solution products that contact lens users prefer. Antibacterial activity of contact lens care solutions against general bacteria and the bacteria causing eye disease was measured with agar diffusion test and antibacterial activity effect was measured with the existence and size (mm) of a clear zone around a paper disc. For all public strains, two contact lens care solution products (B and E) showed powerful antibacterial activity, creating outstanding clear zone while the other six products created weak clear zone. Both of the two contact lens care solution products used for this study are sterilized 3% hydrogen peroxide conditioning solution. It is expected that they are effective for reducing the infection of bacteria through wide antibacterial activity.
